Fast-Acting Electrolytes for Horses
Equine electrolytes play a critical role in fluid balance, muscle movement, and nearly every other physiological function. Keep your horse hydrated, improve energy and boost performance with fast-acting Redmond Electrolyte. It triggers thirst while rapidly replenishing electrolytes lost through heat, sweat, exertion, or nervousness.
Feeding Instructions
Administer the equine electrolyte paste orally. For ponies and miniature horses, feed half a syringe. For full-sized horses, feed a full syringe. Always provide free access to fresh water, as electrolytes encourage drinking.

When is the best time to give the Electrolyte paste—before, during, or after a ride or event?
Our syringe is great before a ride or event as well as after to help speed up recovery. If it is very hot, humid, or if your horse works extra hard or sweats profusely, a third can occasionally be given in between. Ensure your horse has access to water after giving the electrolyte paste.
Can I give my horse a Redmond Daily Gold syringe with the Electrolyte paste?
While it’s safe to give your horse both a Daily Gold syringe and Electrolyte paste, we recommend spacing the doses at least 45 minutes apart. Both products are best absorbed when administered separately.
You sure can! Redmond Electrolyte contains electrolytes, trace minerals, and vitamins that benefit every horse—especially pregnant mares. Pregnancy is a critical time for mares to receive minerals and electrolytes needed to sustain both themselves and their foals.
How many Electrolyte syringes can I safely give in one day?
We recommend not exceeding three a day. Your horse will benefit from electrolytes before and after exercising or performing. If it is very hot, humid, or if your horse is working exceptionally hard or sweating profusely, you may give a third syringe in between. Always ensure your horse has access to water after giving the syringe.
