Garlic is a powerful plant that must be fed in proper amounts. Horses can consume too much garlic either from over-supplementing or eating garlic in the wild. We’ve taken care to ensure Daily Red Garlic servings fall within the National Research Council’s recommendations

CAN GARLIC CAUSE ANEMIA IN HORSES?

Yes, in rare cases, garlic-induced anemia can occur if a horse is snacking on wild garlic in pastures or receives too much from a supplement. Studies show feeding more than 0.4 grams per kilogram of body weight in freeze-dried garlic may lead to Heinz body anemia in horses. To put that in perspective, that’s the equivalent of feeding a 1,100-pound horse 200 or more grams per day, which is just under half a pound. While that amount could easily be consumed by horses eating wild garlic, it’s unlikely you’d purposefully feed that much.

FIRST TIME USING DAILY RED CRUSHED GARLIC? HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW!

Start feeding Daily Red Crushed Garlic 2-3 weeks before fly season starts at your location. Regular consumption will create an odor that pests stay away from, but it takes 2-3 weeks for that to happen.

Remember, Daily Red Fortified Garlic is not a pesticide, it is a repellent. Pests may still hover nearby, but you will see fewer flies and ticks on landing on and biting horses.

Feed the recommended dose daily to encourage hydration, deliver trace minerals, and as a natural repellent for flies, mosquitoes, ticks, and other biting insects. You can overfeed garlic, but if you follow the dosage instructions, your horse will be safe.

Daily Redmond, in all its forms; is a must have product for us. Working with mustangs, they don’t know what the various supplements and feed are that domestic bred horses are used to. Daily Red is something they recognize. All horses look for salt and minerals. I can give them this supplement and know they won’t refuse it. Even the garlic infused Daily Red during fly season. Daily Red is a product I will always have in my feed room.

Think it's helping

So far I think it's helping my non sweater in a very hot summer and flies are less bothersome.

Great product and definitely has reduced flies, but a hard sell to my horse and mules. Have to add sweet feed to get them to eat it

This is the best mineral and vitamin supplement, specially in the summer heat
I have still seen flies but they are not bothering the horses as much as usual. We use this to bring some supplements to our horses who are on small portions . Would recommend
